I’m sorry, but I’ve just got to say it. You, ahem, WE, all have exactly the same problems with our businesses.
And you know what’s ironic?
When I was growing up my physician father used to come home from work sometimes out of sorts and when I asked him why he seemed sad – I didn’t really have a better word at that age – he would say: “I’m not really sad, Marl, I’m just discouraged. I see patient after patient with the same types of complaints and when I tell them what they need to do: Cut back on their fat intake, exercise more, drink less and stop smoking, they just don’t want to do it.”

The last part is my word, not his, but today it dawned on me that business is the same as my Dad’s days with his patients: To be successful, you’ve got to do certain things and you’ve got NOT to do certain other things.
Are There Exceptions?
Always. The guy who drank half a pint of Scotch a day and lived to be 105. Got it. Now, no one actually recalls knowing this particular individual personally, but they swear their friend does.
To make money in your business, no matter how overwhelmed, how allergic to numbers, how much the competition is undercutting you, etc, you MUST focus on the 3 P’s: Pricing, Productivity and Profitability. PERIOD.
You will not make it if you don’t.
So, I sent out an email testing the waters about who would be interested in jumping in to a coaching program I was thinking of launching and the feedback was amazing. I was so encouraged and now I’m 90% sure we’re going to go ahead with the program.
