It's important to be flexible when running a business. However, flexibility shouldn’t mean you’re “always available.” There's a distinct difference between the two, but sometimes we get mixed up and end up overbooking and overexerting ourselves.
What's left for our business after that?
ALWAYS do personal favors outside of work hours. NEVER agree to everything that's asked of you. Create boundaries and remind yourself of how valuable your time is.
Maintaining a balance between being available and flexible, with a touch of discipline in between, will make your productivity soar. Try it out and see what you think.
