Drumroll Please... Announcing The Most Liked Instagram Photo from The Profit Goddess!
It's the end of the year and everyone loves a countdown or top 10 list... or both! So that's what we're doing this week. We're giving a recap and counting down to our most liked Instagram photo, although we shortened the list to our top 6. Because these are the images and quotes our followers liked the most, we thought it would be interesting — and hopefully worthwhile — to revisit them a second time.
Test your social media savvy: MySpace vs. Instagram?
Hmmm, tough one! OK, not really. I'm gonna guess you don't think MySpace is still a big thing. So what is it about Instagram and other social media that's so great? Well, I'll start with the super obvious: You can reach a really wide audience. (Like I said, so obvious!) That audience could be your existing customers, or those who know about you, but have yet to hire you or make a purchase. It could also be people who've never even heard of you, but, thanks to the magic of the Internet, are just a few clicks away from discovering you. And when they do, naturally, you want to make sure that they're intrigued enough to check you out. Kinda like a dating site, only without the swiping!
Having a strong social media presence can drive traffic to your website, and foster loyalty with customers and clients. It'll also increase your brand recognition. All for pretty cheap! Speaking of brand recognition, when those potential customers visit your site, you want to give them a reason to "swipe right," so to speak.
It's all about the brand, baby!
Make sure your social media content reflects your brand and the image you want to convey. Maybe that means hiring someone to create the look and feel you're going for. Or sharing some quirky info about yourself and how your company got its start. (Which is exactly what I do. Have you seen it? I tell the whole crazy story, divorce included! Yes, you read that right.) Whatever you do, try to have content that lets people connect with you and your brand. Oh, I could go on and on... but I won't!
