The Power Of Negative Thinking?

We’re always told to embrace positive thinking, but a recent article in The Wall Street Journal introduces a twist—negative thinking can also have its benefits. According to Oliver Burkeman, imagining worst-case scenarios can help us realize that things aren't as daunting as they seem and might even lead to more success in the end. While I'm a bit hesitant to dive into constant negative thinking, I can see how confronting our fears could be freeing. What do you think—accept the idea, reject it, or mix in a little negativity with the positive? Leave your thoughts below!

We always hear about the fact that we should program our brains to think positively. The power of positive thinking has been praised and recommended by every successful billionaire in the book.

I must admit, I was kind of stunned to see this article by The Wall Street Journal recently about the fact that NEGATIVE thinking is something that can actually benefit us. Hmmm...what have I been missing here?

In fact, Oliver Burkeman happens to think that imagining your worst case scenario will not only bring on more success in the end, but will allow you to realize that things aren't as difficult or daunting as they may seem.

What do you think about this recent piece of news? Accept or reject? Maybe bring in a healthy dose of positive sprinkled with a bit of negative? Leave us a comment below!
