Prospecting doesn't have to be scary—think of it as networking and building connections. Set a goal to have coffee with as many people as possible over the next month, no selling involved. The word "prospecting" can be a scary one for anyone who has never been in sales.

The truth is, as business owners, we need to be doing some form of prospecting for new business every day.

To keep the stigma away, remind yourself: You’re not trying to sell anything. You’re networking, you’re making connections.

Set a goal, simply, of having coffee with as many people as possible over the coming month. No selling...just connecting. You will be amazed at what this brings to you in 30-60 days. If you do this on a regular basis, you will always have a pipeline that is full. Try it for 6 months and see what you get!
