Million Dollar Marriage
Hugh Hefner, age 84, is once again making headlines with his engagement to 24-year-old Crystal Harris, a relationship that has many people raising eyebrows due to the 60-year age gap. Hefner, who has been married twice before, first in 1959 and later to playmate Kimberly Conrad in 1989, is set to walk down the aisle again. While Harris currently receives a $1,000 weekly allowance and adheres to a 9 P.M. curfew like the other women at the Playboy mansion, it’s unclear what perks, if any, marriage will bring. With both parties stating their wedding will be a small affair, one can only wonder how this unlikely union will unfold.
Once again the gossip columns never seem to dull us. The most recent news from the Playboy Mansion has us baffled that Hugh Hefner, age 84, is now engaged to Crystal Harris, age 24. Now we do not want to slam this close age difference of 60 years, but we cannot grasp the idea of this newly engaged couple. Instead, we want to take a look into the lives of this dashing young (well kind of) couple.
Hefner has been married two times in the past. The first was in 1959, way before Harris was born. His second marriage was to former playmate Kimberly Conrad; they married in 1989 and separated in 1998. Hefner and Conrad were then officially divorced in 2009 once his youngest son turned 18.
In regard to the other women who live in the Playboy mansion, they each receive an allowance of $1,000 a week to purchase new clothes. They also have a curfew of 9 P.M.. This makes us wonder if the soon to be Mrs. Hugh Hefner will have a curfew still. And if so, what is the perk of getting married? She's the last in a long line of inheritance, so I can't imagine she'll get much money out of the deal.
Both Hugh and Crystal are stating that their wedding ceremony will be a small one. With a total compensation from Playboy Enterprise at a cool $1,449,703 we hope their wedding goes off with a bang.
