Keep Growing And Climbing
To grow and succeed, seek constructive criticism from trusted colleagues, create your own definition of success, and stick to it. Don't forget to schedule time for play and creativity—an unscheduled day each month can do wonders! What do you think? Let me know your thoughts!
1) Grow By Seeking Out Educated and Constructive Criticism Find several people whom you admire and can collaborate with in order to keep yourself evolving and being challenged. Make sure you have 3 go-to colleagues who aren’t afraid to give you honest, unvarnished feedback. The only way to truly grow is to learn from mistakes and correct things.
2) Create Your Own Definition of Success You and you alone have the power to decide what success means to you. Create your own definition, ignore what other people's interpretations are, and STICK TO YOUR GUNS! Once you're able to do that you will take leaps and bounds toward achieving the goals that you've set for yourself. It sounds simple but it will take practice (I'm still working on it). No two people have the same view of what it takes to be fulfilled. Get to work and find your inspiration. Nobody will do it for you!
3) Remember to Play! Keep one unscheduled day a month as an open work day. Play, be creative, or go on a field trip. Photo by: crushculdesac.tumblr.com
