Client Gifts 101

Personalizing client gifts makes a lasting impact, and we've crafted thoughtful packages to reflect each client's unique preferences, from poker-themed boxes to beachy martini buckets. By tailoring gifts to match the client and keeping them aligned with your brand and marketing budget, you'll create stronger relationships and encourage repeat business.

Last week we covered "The Anatomy of a Client Gift 101". Since then, we have put together a few packages for some of our clients and wanted to share what we came up with.

This masculine present was created for a guy who loves poker and cigars. We tailored the box to include his favorite things while still keeping it simple and light.

As you can see here, it just takes a bit of creativity combined with some thought as to what your client enjoys. Much better than receiving something generic, right?

Guess who this little bucket was put together for? That's right...a beach-loving martini drinker. We filled the metal bucket half way with sand and placed some martini mix, vodka, some nice martini glasses and a set of napkins in there. The napkins say "All I want is an umbrella in my drink"...so of course we added some umbrellas for that extra sweet touch.

I think it's safe to say that this gift will be appreciated AND put to good use. Don't you agree?

There are some clients who require a simpler touch. This one in particular happens to have a green thumb and enjoys potting different plants and flowers.

Since we had a few great pictures from the event on hand, we included a beautiful frame along with the pot. Before delivering the package to our lovely client we made sure to have the best photos printed up for them.

As you can see, every single client is different and requires some thought. Generic gifts are a dime a dozen and lose their luster fast.

Here's a quick review of what you should keep in mind with every one of your clients when making the gesture to thank them for their business. Big or small...every package should deliver the following things:

6 Tips to Incorporate in Your Client Gifts:

1) The gift should reflect the size & scope of the project/event.

2) The gift should reward the clients you want to be your target audience - and not so extravagant for the clients who are not your target audience.

3) All gifts should be in your marketing budget (hint: if you do not have one you need one!).

4) Every gift should represent your brand.

5) Each gift should be personalized to your client.

6) Every single gift should have a call to action for client.

Always keep in mind that client gifts should create/generate:

~Repeat business

~New Referrals

~Reflect Your Brand
